Located in the Poble Nou district of Barcelona, one of Europe's most exciting cities, only a few blocks away from the incredible Torre Agbar, is Station 55 the 6th generation of a studio designed and engineered by the composer and music producer, Cristian Vogel.
In the summer of 2005 the recording studio and its philosophy and sound has transformed to a new location and a new name. We are pleased to announce doors open at Station 55 Studio, Barcelona.
This latest evolution of the studio has been initially designed as an isolated control room with a seperate creative recording area. On a technical level, the studio is primarily based around electronic music production and composition. The hybrid analogue and digital signal path used for mastering, mixing and conversion, is of very high quality, and the control room's acoustic being designed by Otherkind.
Of equal importance to the control room, you will find a seperate space downstairs which is flexible enough to be used for recording, relaxing, working out parts or making album plans. And for those all important playback parties or simply relaxing after a hard days work, Station 55 is situated in an area of Barcelona with many great bars, restaurants and clubs.
Functioning together, the technical set-up and the warm philosophy of our studio forms a creative environment that can be productive, fun, eccentric and unique, with a powerful digital heart and a unique analogue sound.
Cristian Vogel and production partner Joe Robinson are the resident producers at the studio, with over a decade of experience in tracking, mixing and mastering of all kinds of alternative music - electronic, experimental, punk, garage and live band. Between them they have produced and mixed for artists such as Radiohead, Panico, I am Kloot, Astrud, Chicks on Speed and the No Heads, Badly Drawn Boy, Super_Collider, Maximo Park, Las Perras del Infierno, Virüs, Scratch Massive, Cane141 and many more.
