silly friday thread

if you had 24 hours to go anywhere in the world for your breakfast, lunch and dinner where would you go and what would you have?

i would probably go:

germany for breakfast - one of those traditional buffets mmm
thailand for lunch - a wee green curry no doubt
italy for dinner - proper pasta

(and maybe holland for some cheese and biscuits)

and then i'd roll all the way home.

breakfast in NY - the works..all fried and greasy with refills all the way..
lunch - scotland (west coast) some scampi and chips with pints flowing looking out over some deserted wind swept port.
dinner - india - a thali or sea food curry..again with copious amounts of beer..

Cake based breakfast in Amsterdam.

Pop over to Damascus for a nice lebanese lunch.

Head further east for a Massaman Curry in Thailand.

That would do me.

Japan for a sushi breakfast.
Lunch at a particular restaurant in the south of France whose name currently escapes me for some so-fresh-they're-still-begging-for-mercy langoustines with garlic mayo, and a big fat tomato and basil salad.
Then dinner in India, a vegetarian curry banquet after all those fishy frolics.

BURP!

scottish and fish mad:

full breakfast and 2-3 bloody marys (best bloody mary in the world), stravaigin, gibson st, glasgow

lunch of cullen skink and smoked salmon, plockton inn, plockton

dinner would be 6 oysters followed by bradan rost in whisky & horseradish sauce at the loch fyne oyster bar, now famous for fat boy prescott buying kippers and plotting blair's overthrow. i bet he didn't buy kippers - he just didn't think a side of salmon and a dozen oysters sounded working class.
