Pete & Pete

I had totally forgotten about this series, been watching several episodes over the last few days and they're still good, even the missus caught on so it can't just be my nostalgia talking

How many sitcoms do you know that have Iggy Pop starring in it? Didn't think so. And don't get me started on Artie, just saw the little viking episode yesterday where Artie leaves Pete, heart-wrenching!

Iggy Pop does do some voices for a kids cartoon... Not Spongebob Squarepants, but something very like it, with a gang of mis-shapen blobby creatures having domestic adventures.

pete and pete was when nickelodeon was at the top of their game.
didn't 'they might be giants' do the theme song?
I could be way off, but I thought it was some band along the same line as them.

apparently it was some band called 'polaris' or 'miracle legion' but the version i found on their site didn't stir any memories... i seem to remember quite a catchy tune

Clarissa Explains All & Alex Mack were decent Nickelodeon shows too - althogh Alex Mack was a league above Clarissa... - what other decent Nick' shows were there?...

Oh - I know that this has nothing do do with Nickelodeon, but I was watching NYPD Blue the other night - it's taken me three weeks to realise that the new Detective in it is Mark-Paul Gossleair - 'Zack', from "Saved By The Bell"! He's gotten good with age, and looks totally different....

D_G ;o)

I think he had to change his appearances to break free from the saved by the bell mould... not as if the guy that played screech is ever going to get any other characters than dweebs!
