nord moddy price
what's the going UK price on a nord modular nowadays?
I seem to have developed a taste for one. I would like one second hand but can't find one, so I guess if the price new is right... I've seen the rack for £629 and the keys for £649. These - esp. the second one - sound really cheap to me. cheers dg |

I saw a keyboard one going here in manchester recently for 550.
Amazing what you can get for 500 these days ![]() On a related note I have a Nord Lead 2 rack and Micro Modular that I may well be selling soon if anyone is interested. I must say I feel shitty about selling them though...especially the little cute one ![]() |

I've seen them go for even less than £500 on Ebay.. which is a total bargain.
Although there were maybe too many on the market about a month ago, due to people selling them to buy G2's. Its worth £500 just to use as a preset machine in my opinion.. never mind the power/fun you get when you start patching.. |

FYI, Digital Village sell the micro mod for £200 new.
The sale of modulars seems to have slowed down on the UK used market. A new one (keys) at £650 is actually only about a £150 more than a used one. For that price, at least you get some proper tech support and guarantee for your goods. PLus once you chuck on postage and packing and insurance etc. on the used price, it's getting nearer a £100 difference. Sounds like I'm trying to convince myself ; ) BTW, if any Canadians are on the board, please point me to a nord dealer (other than Saved by Technology). Canada is usually well cheap for gear (I just picked up a new MOTU 828mkII for the equivalent of £400). Got to get it through UK customs now though. DG |

I noticed Jarberry music (in bristol, I think) have a modular rack for 475 which is a good price. I bought my nord lead 2 rack from him and it was all good. Could be worth a look....

It's one of a couple of good shops in the uk that can be very good for proper second-hand noise making stuffs.
I only had dealings with them for the Nord Lead 2 but delivery was prompt, the nord was well-packed and in perfect condition. It was only 400GBP too which was good at the time. As it is so close to bristol it could be worth popping over. I suppose that I should also say that I can't recommend nord modulars enough...that's why I am going to get a G2. |
