i don't want to hurt my brain
alrighty
i'm gonna be sorting out some new kit next month... whilst still debating the ESX1/MPC1000 issue, I also need a good synth mod I can take on the road for live sessions. now so far i've been thinking get a micro-modular as obviously it is cheap, cool and portable - but I am just too short of time and braincells to get up to my elbows in complicated interfaces/software and such. I would love one, but I was wondering if anyone wants to recommend something portable (ideally handluggage size) - under £600, lots of fun and packed full of varied, bass-heavenly sounds... i have been looking 'round and all, but would just like your esteemed input ![]() |

yup - that's the sort of advice i was looking for - good shit!
shame the polyphonic is going to be a 1u rack though... i think if it was shaped like the mono it would be perfect... ideally i'd like something polyphonic and able to do pads as well as bass/leads... but this looks fine and for the £$£$ it is probably well worth it... |

Mate good to see you gearing up...
I am well in the studio heaps, drinking too much coffee Not too much changes here, I have been going a bit crazy on the kit side. But all good solid purchases, it is all plugged in and humming, hissing and clicking... CF is doind really well to He and his muse are playing some big gigs here He has had a full cd release and it is doing well We should send some to you I think that you would like it alot, distorted rock, CF makes his kit sound like Judus Preist, if he grows a mullet the friendship is over CF and I also have a track comming out on a Local Electro Comp It will be a really strrong release.... |

Hey Ed, nice to be chatting again. I read elsewhere on this board there was a woman in your life and she posts here? And how's your music going?

hey cutout
i only got my micromodular a few weeks ago, i`m no expert and certainly have definate computer based luddite tendancies but i picked up the nord basics pretty quick, and i`m making the sort of patches i quite like already. i`d go for that, i`m kicking myself for taking so long to get one, perty snazzy for the mic fuckup sessions too ![]() |

yeah - at the price i don't think u can go wrong rilly - i'm def gonna get one... can't wait! decided on an MPC1000, nord micromod and also a cheeky alesis airfx (god i am such a copycat) mainly so my missus can do funny things to her vocals once we get our live set set up.
FYI, EF, my missus posts under the name of May Kasahara here - and used to be monkey spank on overload... real name is suzi..... i'm sure you (virtually) know her. thanks for the advice guys... |

May is Monkey Spank and you're together? How did such an ugly man score such a beautiful woman? You should marry her.
