inane question for the scientists about lucozade and vimto

why is it that lucozade tastes shit in plastic bottles but wonderful in cans?
i think this is quite odd, in a plastic bottle it tastes so rubbish i wont buy it.
but out of a can... nectar.

the same goes for vimto

these seem to be the only 2 soft drinks affected by the plastic/can paradox.

i was hoping the scientists on the board could shed some light, so i can get some sleep at night

I think this holds for cans/bottles in general, I notice a distinct difference between bottled and canned coke light, for example.

did you know why vimto was called that? it's because the manufacturer gave it to some ad agency, and they thought it tasted mingin so called it an anagram of vomit.
