What are your favorite movies and could you list them by genre.
Any pertinent info on the movie would be helpful too. I've currently joined a new DVD club and I can rent movies out the wazoo, so I'm wanting to see what movies I've forgotten or need to see.

All David Lynch movies or other weird shit like Brazil or Visitor Q. Phase IV is also cool, Sci-Fi.

Super Troopers. Fantastic comedy, the highway patrol are competing agains the local police force to show who are the most useful cops as the county decides to axe some forces to reduce the budget.

The attitude is summed up by one of the characters lines "I'm not a cop, I'm just a civilian in uniform." The highway patrol behaves just like any of us do at our day job, laze about trying to get away with whatever we can and doing whatever amuses us.

Definately a not to be missed stoner flick due to it being good and not fringing on the same ten jokes with a young cast trying to be hip and cool.

Phase IV isn't pulling up on my search in the website?..you know who the director is?

David Lynch is a bit to much for my head, man.

He can get super weird at times.
I'll look and see what the description says on those two movies, but he's a weird one for sure.

Belly, I'm a little skeptical on cause I'm not very fond the "urban realistic" movies. but I'm gonna have a watch, cause it's got high ratings on the website and maybe it won't be a movie glamorizing bitches and ho's life style.

don't know the director right now, but i will ask a friend who has it on VHS. brazil is from terry gilliam. check out "dune" by lynch. it's also weird but sci-fi.

Hey man Bitches and Hoes need love too....But Belly is a good flick, overall It has positive message. A fun flick to watch.

Yes I've seen the drunken fist, but Master of the Flying Gil. Is the all time classic. a Must see for any fan of Kung FU

Oh Yeah !! Mr. David Lynch is the MAN !!!! I think his last movie... Mullholland Drive is a Masterpiece !!!! But in general, all of his movies are great surrealistic stuff. I had a chance to get Eraserhead and the movie shocked me BADDLY !!.
Also worth to check out David Cronenberg, Jim Jarmusch there is a lot of surrealism here !!!!
Some other good directors for me are Akira kurosawa & Win Wenders.

It really depends in the stuff you want to see !!!

i agree with tom tom, bud spencer and terrence hill are great in almost all their movies, dunno if you can get them in the usa. adriano celentano is great too...

funny games, crazy flick from austria...try to check that out.

everything christopher guest was involved in is extremely funny: spinal tap, a mighty wind, waiting for guffmann, best in show. the premises is the same with every movie, a "mockumentary" that does a fine job poking fun at a specific cultural phenomenon.

also, I recently saw Altered States which was a interesting blend of psychedelia and horror - effects are not up to par with today's standards but the movie still works.

"school of rock" gave me and my gf a good chuckle too, jack black goofing off in full effect.
