whats your favourite horror-movies?

´texas chainsaw massacre´ ... its thrilling in every minute. and the sounds are nerve-racking (noises from a big industrial slaughterhouse).

its gotta be the best of that genre, but I find I'm more scared by films that aren't 'horror' movies. and it seems now most modern 'horror' flicks are self-referential spoofs, strange.

its weird as well, all the modern horrors coming out now are all diliverance/texaschainsaw/dayofthedead clones. to cite a few: cabin fever, wrong turn, house of a 1000 corpses, jeepers creepers. I think the japanese are much better than this, the original ring, audition, dark water, avalon, ichi the killer, ping pong. NB the last two aren't scary, but very good nonetheless.

ah, emmerich's version of godzilla is awfull they should forbid that movie !!!
i think godzilla looks like a tyrannosurus rex (spelling??) and not like the old good godzilla....btw the original godzilla movies are all special !

oldmovie witch enjoy resting my mind to is "women camp", from 1971... womens prison camp in middle of the djungel and it´s cannibals witch holds them prisoners.

oj... i almost forgot... all the "ILSA" movies rocks.

I watched a couple of post-emmerich toho productions recently, and there was a really funny scene in one of them (Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: All Monsters Attack)

Quote:
Toward the beginning of the movie, when the military types are discussing whether or not Godzilla is returning, somebody mentions that a monster similar to Godzilla attacked America at the end of the last century, clearly a reference to the American Godzilla movie. Somebody asks whether that was actually Godzilla, and he is told that the Americans say it is, but not the Japanese.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre rulez !!!!!!

I haven't seen ´em but "the dark night of the scarecrow" and "the last house on the left" seem to be pretty cool too !!!

I also like shocking movies, they are scary for me too, like Happiness and Pink flamingos, those kind of people are the ones we should be afraid of... don't you think so ?
