Early morning Peck...

Mornin kids,

TV legend and personal favourite Dirk Benedict AKA Templeton Peck/The Face from the A Team (and star of Battlestar Gallactica) is on Channel 4's breakfast TV show Rise tomorrow morning. I've no idea what time he will be on, but it's worth setting your video or being that little bit late for work.

no dirk benedict is alive and kicking, though he doesn't have the same looks as back in the golden days, but then who does?

george peppard did die years ago.

btw while on the topic: I heavily recommend Mr.T's educational/motivational video for kids: "Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool" - recently saw this and it really helped me get my life straightened out!

Peppard is indeed dead. He was mentioned in the Metro recently, described as "best know for playing Hannibal Smith in TV series "The A-Team". While this may be true, I bet he turned in his grave.

Mind you, apart from "....Tiffanys" what was he in that had genuine ac-torrrr cred? "Banacek"???? The Polish art detective, hahahaa!!! Almost as bad as Quincey.

@ant

what about platoon?

anyhow, the main reason the a-team had to end was because of the rivalry between peppard and mr.t, so I guess he doesn't mind the a-team association too much...

Wow, sounds almost anarchist... although I take it'll be a very subtle piece of reverse psychology...

He'll be telling the kids to got to school and get jobs in the local factory or burger flippin' joint.

As opposed to hangin' out and carving out yer own pimpin' and drugs empire...

Yeah, its the code for US Army special forces team - like most infantry units its actually an 8 man team.

So when they do the big blockbuster A-Team flick they can show how the other section got cruelly killed in a double-cross perpertrated by Colonel Decker...

Hey they could even make Mr T the chopper pilot, but Decker drugs him and uses LCD to make him scared of flying, so they get trapped on the covert ops mission.

Sorry, I'm a big A-team fan too...

yeh it's hard to say which scene was my favorite, but I guess it's a tie between mr.t's fashion show (the concept of the show was that kids don't need brand name clothes, and so they were all wearing these bizarre collages of eye-searing patches of fabric - the whole thing gets commented by mr.t so it's a bit like some sears employee hosting a fashion show) and his "workout" program, which included lifting ghettoblasters and a kid so out of shape he collapsed after a single jumping jack. the "peer pressure" song comes a close second, and the t was sporting some damm funky outfits even for being the t.

all this was intertwined with short clips of kids/adults shouting "be somebody!".
