Wack Off With Wevie This Friday!!!!!
werk, slaxcorp and the justice department are proud to present
WACK An evening of comedy and electronic music Come. Come. To a place where to be wack is to be celebrated. Yes, it’s the wackest show in town. Never before has comedy whipped off the pants of electronic music and giving it a jolly good marshmallowing. This is a place where bleeps and bass mingle with chortles and guffaws. Where the earnest body of electronica gets a custard pie in its face and a kick in the goolies. Where you can dance with tears in your eyes, laughter in your ears and a Scotch Egg rammed in your mouth. This is the first (and possibly last) instalment of Wack. A night of comedy breaks, clowntempo, wit-hop, droll’n’bass and laughcore. Starring WEVIE STONDER – live Skam Records’ joker in the pack. Wevie’s full live band show has been known to make grown men piss blood and grown women squit like sprinklers. Juicy. KEN CAMPBELL – spoken werd At some point we will stop the music and let theatrical legend, comedy historian and vintage oddball Ken talk to the audience for half an hour on a subject of his choosing. We dare you to heckle him. MATT WAND – DJ (tbc) Professor Wand is the grandpa of the clowncore movement, historian of funny sounds and all-round herbert. He’ll be playing records for us, maybe. THE WACK DJs, featuring The Wakdaddi, Cutmaster Ratlet & Gary Weasle This unhealthy trinity are the meat’n’two veg of Wack; the three pillars of Wackness; the crown jewels lording it over the Wack faithful. The only question is, which one’s the cock? COMPERED BY Rt Hon. Sir Rimmington Snuffporn KRCG Straight outta Herne Hill, this eukalele-toting fool will be whipping the crowd up into a murderous rage, before sacrificing himself like so much carrion. PLUS: Adverse Camber’s Interactive Cheese Slalom & a cast of thousands FRIDAY OCTOBER 17th @ THE SPITZ 109, Commercial Street, Old Spitalfields Market, E1. www.spitz.co.uk/ 020 7392 9032 7.30 pm – 1 am, £8 entry. Cannae wait for this one...
Is Matt Wand still playing then? Saw him in Bristol on Saturday, doing a collosal sounding live set with just 4 Gameboys and an fx unit. Fair fucking play. |
