ahh, had a great night in Hannover after a long time again...

We went to Art-Gallery where Andy Smith (the Dj of Portishead) and another dude played with 4 tables a really mental set of all that hip hop classics over jazz and funk to oldies!
It was just great!!! absolutely phat!

yes schranz is my favourite music! I went to a wicked free-party on the beach down here, and danced my arse off, but have been suffering really badly, my back feels like it needs a splint as does my neck - careful dancing on sand/pebbles kids, its 10 times as physically demanding. I'll be mostly sitting down for the next couple of days I think. ouch. There were loads of peeps from birmingham, including an mc called 'inspector' anyone know these guys?

I spent much more time than is strictly healthy in the East End this weekend. Friday: went to 291 to see Tec and committed the crowning spoon of a spoontastic week, by assuming that the party was at District and going there to discover that District has in fact burnt down. Stranded in Hackney, was forced to phone a friend for directions and had to walk miles up the road, arriving sweaty as hell. Thank god for Queens Of The Stone Age on my walkman, would never have made it otherwise. Spent most of the night sitting on the bench outside laughing at Jerome's cracking wise. The drive home took on an unexpectedly surreal slant when we accidentally got siphoned off the wrong way around the Blackwall Tunnel junction and were sucked into the most terrifying large-scale roadworks I've ever seen. Was expecting to stray into the path of a bulldozer and be ruthlessly crushed at any second. Fuck knows what they're doing up there, but Canning Town seems to have been twinned with Palestine.

Saturday: went to the Rhythm Factory to see Coldcut and The Bays (it was my friend's birthday). Good company, shit music - whoever was DJing seemed to have themed his set around playing a really shit tune over the top of a really good one, and The Bays were, frankly, arse. The sight of so many smug white people writhing around to limp funk music became too much; I left.

aaaahhh.....i already posted but my post disappeared...grrr

2nd try:
on friday i went to a recordshop where i had a couple of beers, bought some cd's and talked a lot (nonsense??), the i went back to
a friend of me who had birthday and got drunk, ended up sleeping on the balcony.
went to tresor on saturday where i spent most of the time at the bar getting a lil bit drunk again (not realy drunk)...wasn't in a real party mood as i still was a bit destroyed from the night/day before.
was nice to meet some people there
