sure, i know what you mean,

but there are personal tracks in the world

AND (in my opinion)

there are just these disco tracks in the world, tracks you like just because they are groovin' or whatever...

party stuff, you know???

i like party stuff

i love personal tracks, but not every single track is personal for me....

personal music for me is music i listen to at home and music i think about

i don't think about that frank sinatra track...
i don't listen to this track over a large period of time...

i like it when someone plays it at a party
but i don't mind if nobody plays it...

i always have personal music on my mind, and, in my heart

do you now understand what i mean?

I like Monstertruckdriver, and 1983 is ok but nothing more. Everything else I've heard has been a puddle of piss. I'm sure she's dedicated to the club scene and all that bollocks, only she's just rubbish. There was a DJ mix by her on the front of Muzik a while back, and it was one of the worst things I've ever heard. I'm all for there being a bit of roughness in live mixes, but it was like she just didn't care. There were classic records randomly forced to mix badly into stupid novelty electroclash bullshit, the mixes clashed badly in every way, it was RUBBISH.

I own the first two miss kittin & the hacker eps on gigolo, that's it and that's where her "career" in music productions should've ended...

I heard one live mix of her, but that was years ago - the radio caroline mix is s'pposed to be pretty good, somebody listened that?

word around the campfire in munich is that she's a major bitch, but that's a different story altogether

Heard the CD ya talking about and quite frankly have a hard time beleiving that it IS Kittin... Have seen her spin at least 5 times and each time she has been immaculate...

Really nicely paced set, good selection of a wide variety of styles, faultless mixing... A vibe I have not heard from anyone else...

Did ANY of ya'll see her play @ Sonar this year? Brinkman, Basic Channel, Dopplereffekt, Prince and so much more - Awesome!

She rocks as a DJ!

Rekkids-wise, I'd admit she sometimes leaves me cold, but I would argue that she's not exactly been prolific and most records she has been involved in as a vocalist not a producer...

@ Weishaupt: shes NOT "a produkt of the whole dj hell hype of the last years", she has her OWN history within the scene in Switzerland and strong ties with the Mental Groove crew... So Hell signed some of her tracks with The Hacker up during the early days of Gigolo... So what? They're probably the best records released on the label in the first place(at least of what I HAVE heard).

nah..c´mon,dude..open your eyes...
maybe she have a "own" story..but if she have...why dont she tell it when shes playing records?...

ok..shes a "modern" dj of a "modern" technoscene and she stand for a "modern" kind of techno-using..

thats ok....when u like it, thats also ok.....but for me she is to trivial in her sounds and in her image. and thats the point....this typical image-bla bla like dj hell is that what i dont like.

respect to dj hell. hes cool but remember...........behind every big hype you can find a little truth....

you know what i mean, baby?

I have yet to hear her play a record I would deem to be 'Electroclash'... I have mix CDs of her which go back to the late 90s where she drops Plaid, Aphex and all sorts

Not sure what you mean by her sounds being trivial - IMO she plays some VERY 'un-trivial' music - but her imagine? I can't say I've really paid much attention to an artists image within' this scene - Wasn't it partially meant to be a departire from such concerns(like punk was)?

This year was the first time I have seen her spin in a few years as she rarely plays in the UK and I am aware (as well as she herself admits) she may have been to a certain extent caught up and (to a lesser extent) carried along by the 'wave' of Electroclash, but I'd(and no doubt she'd) argue she has a different agenda. She has since admitted as much that she had been partially sidetracked but what went down with all the 80's shit over the last few years, but since day one peeps like her & The Hacker made no secret about the eighties influence on their music... IT'S WHEN THEY GREW UP!!!!

Does a HipHop artists get condemend for having an old skool feel to his flow? Hardly.... (e.g. Jurrasic Five)

I also think that her tracks have become a bit boring. Her voice doesn't add that much anymore.

However, I also did see her dj this summer and I was happily surprised. A very tasty blend of techno and electro, and not anywhere near the stuff she puts out.
