in london? i went there on saturday night and it was a very good club, more like a party than a club, cheap to get in, £2 for drinks, nice but pretty messy people...some good electro was played...they have lots of good people playing there like tenniswood et al.

i went once and left very quickly in disgust at the completely fucked up drug monkeys literally rolling around on the floor. since then i've failed to return on several occasions, including saturday just gone, usually due to having been out the night before and lacking energy, or in the case of this weekend, having spent all day drinking and passing out. it's not far from where i live and quite a few people i know play there now and then, so i will be back at some point. it does seem to get very mixed reviews though.

i heard saturday was a real sweatbox.

yeah, i really like wang. i love the whole "house party" feel to it. and they have gotten some damn good acts through their doors. i am a big fan of the premises as well - love the outside bit and the fact that you can get lost in it quite easily. nice stuff.

yeah, although things have moved on, it's now the 20th Century. still the hillbilly look, but with a more modern edge. the trucker look is where it's at now. panelled baseball caps with oil company logos on, biiiiiiiiig yellow or pink sunglasses.

Nice...chequered shirt aplenty then!! Christopher Biggins glasses...nice touch.

re: lou...i didnt realise she did control tower. all makes sense now!

re: wang venue. i was convinced that the main room was two different rooms and that they were playing the same record in there at the same time. my friend had to walk me through it to change my mind. sense of direction isnt my strong point.

it is really cool there though. well done to the wang massive

but...isnt london bloody huge? the friend we stayed with lives in stoke newington, which is 'near' wang, but was still a walk and a nightbus there, and a walk and a taxi back...

I am intrigued at this club - could it be a club that isn't shit? Sadly no one I know in That London likes techno or anything vaguely dancy, so it would be a train back for me, what time does play end?

I've had a great time whenever I've been to Wang. Definite house party vibe. Some people complain about mullet proliferation, but I don't mind that (not that I've noticed it anyway), especially if the sound quality and music is excellent, the booze is cheap and people are well up for a party.

Lou is one of the nicest people you could possibly meet too. Shame I missed the Seed party at the weekend.

I too joined the wangers on Sat night, it was a shame no one mentioned they were going from the board(?) it would have been nice to meet some of you. Luckily the premesis is my local and only had to stagger 2 minutes down the road (sweet). the overload lot were down there too, they're a really nice bunch. I was a bit disorientated when we first arrived, it was hard to get the night vision going in the main room, total sweat box, but a cracking wee club. wang and haywire pisses on all other london clubs!!
