JSyn
JSyn
been looking at this recently, I know Yee-King has done a lot of stuff with this, has any other bods done much work with it, it looks powerful, and seeing as super_collider don't run on windowz it seems a good place to start mucking with algorithmic composition. I tried to fiddle with c-sound, but found it too stuffy. |

yes maxmsp I am interested in, but it is only for XP.... dunno if I can be arsed to install XP on my machine, as it works ok as it is, but maybe I will...
I like JSyn as it is java and I like programming, as far as i am aware, there is no scripting in Max/MSP... |

it seems fine on my pc.
not too slow. I like coding.... I have fiddled with pure-data and It doesn't jell with me. I like having a text file with me typing lines of code, it sits better in my brain. |

yeah that is good for a certain thing, but sometimes you might want to use non-musickal data and transform it into midi information, or make some sort of self generative system that produces musick based on rules etc.
basically, I know how I make musick, and I want to see if I can create a system that makes the musick that sounds like my musick... and then I can cut it up and fuck with it later... its all in the code..... |

like i said earlier, reactor doesn't have a Scripting language, and I don't want some "interface" I want a text editor and code... thats all I am asking for.. I don't need people to suggest "other things" I wanna know if people have used JSyn or not... Jeez!!!!!! hahahahahaha
