Kondi003
New release coming up:
Björn Svin- "Birdline Assembly" Watch out for this release made by one of the most incredible artists around when it comes to funky-, childish-, plastic-, weirdo-techno! Known for his releases on the danish imprint April Records; "Mer´ Ström" and "Benene paa nakken" and his latest on BMG "Kantropisk". Perhaps the mainperson of electronic music in Denmark? - Björn Svin! If you get the chance to see/hear Björn play one of his liveacts or "just" records you would know that he´s something really special! People sometimes forget to party, because it´s even more fun to see this guy rocking his old equipment on stage or the way he imitates the music with his mouth, hands, arms, legs - you name it! - when playing records (because he knows every single variation in a track). Outside Denmark the track "Mand over Bord" has been played with great interest, because it somehow shows you how a "story" can be told thru electronic music! In a very freaky way - that makes you legs move! Even though he is most of all known for his great humour and friendly character Björn also deals with harder techno, and the latest release "Kantropisk" really shows you these skills! Making a real great radioshow every saturday in the Danish National Radio P3 in the periode 1996-99 called "Björn Svins Mobile Discoteque" - he made most of the danish youth turn on their radio and enjoy 2 hours of new releases all the way from Sähkö-releases to Dance Mania stuff... Today going around in Europe with his livesets, sometimes drops a djset, working along with jazzmusicians (that´s true) and performing live with experimental groups making weird elements of background sounds or realtime remixing a classical musician... or just hits the scene with his tr-909 and makes a pumping liveact with only the use of this white box! Yeah, the story goes on! This release is one of his first official 12"´s. First side contains a real pumping track with lot´s of wide synthsounds and a great tr-909 workout. Actually close to be oldschool trance... Going on in a crazy and wild style that most of all sounds like a mixture of subhead and squarepusher???! Other side brings you a track playable in both 33 and 45 rpm. 33 makes a downtempo techhouse track - 45 gives you a quickstep technotrack with great metallic percussions and funky drumpatterns. Will be available in shops beginning of July - distributed by Possible Music/Berlin. If you can´t get your fingers on a copy - mail me and I´ll sort something out! |
