See the bit that says "Once i look a bit more into prices"??
![]() nah, seriously, I've had to make some kind of start so having people ask me will make me get my finger out or I'll have them all sitting here for another 10 years, so bear with me and I shall endeavour to get a price |

haha.. sorry
I generally only read my own posts, and just imagine that everyone else is agreeing with me. It falls down when they actually contain useful information. I'd love the 808, too, but couldn't afford a fair price for it. I'd like first dibs on the Juno when you've got a figure, though, please! ........................... I'll pay "whatever Loz offers plus 50p".
I don't even want it. I'm going to just photograph myself with it, send Loz the photograph, and then throw the Juno into the sea. ........................... lovely cloakroom. lovely cloaks - barbam nondum video |

Actually I love them.. been playing with one a lot recently.. sticking the arpeggiator up really fast then playing massive detroity two-handed chords.
Used it on a Pleated Lemon prog session http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3839475/Jour...rnBoun ce.mp3 That's just a dump bouncedown.. needs mixing. and editing. and words. and general finishing. nice Juno demo ![]() ........................... lovely cloakroom. lovely cloaks - barbam nondum video |

As I can't edit original post, here's an update...
2x Technics 1210 Mk2 with Stanton 500 Mk2 carts, well used but well looked after. Come with manuals, slipmats and original boxes minus some of the packaging A few marks and a little spot of flaking paint but only down to general wear, can post pics. £400 the pair. Transcendant 2000 sadly not in perfect working order. It makes sounds, the filter input works as do all the controls but the keyboard tracking doesn't seem to work properly and it can be a bit random when switching switches. In my nonprofessional opinion it might just need a bloody good clean inside but it could be a good diy project for someone as there are a few mods about for it. I also have a footpedal for sweeping the filter, parts list, circuit board overlay and wiring diagrams for the various bits of it. Offers around £100 ![]() Collection would be cool but I can deliver in Kent, East and South East London for a bit of dosh towards diesel. more updates soon |

The Transcendent 2000 was available built or as a kit, so it might just need some simple dry solder joints replaced to get the tracking back.

Yeah, was thinking it might be something simple...that someone else might be bothered to do
![]() it does/did make some really good noises as I've been reminded from youtube. If I had the time and space I'd probably keep it. |

With regards to the transcendant 2000 -
Its an excelent synth, when its working. If you think of somthing along the lines of the features of an sh-101 (without any microprocessor nonsence), but with a very different sound. If i was a hi-fi wanker, id say things like "british sound" and stuff like that, i guess? There's no electronics in there that are made of unobtanium. The 4006 used in the noise circuit is probably about the hardest part, but there are plenty still about. The gate input of the t2k is awkward. I forgett the exact details, but its non-standard. Cv is 1v/oct IIRC. The main issues with it will be the keyboard, which is just rubbish. The contacts get bent and cease to function. That and the pots, which,, if they ever were any good, probably are not now. For £100 you really cant go wrong though. If you were to budget, maybee, £150 on getting it up to speed, you would end up with a nice, unusual, true analogue synth for your £250. If i was richer and / or had any way of justifying the purchase, id get it. That and i allready have one, which, occasinally, when im bored, i get on the bench, and fix a bit more of... |

I'm so tempted by the 808... but couldn't afford it I really think.. and it's a massive expense for just a drum machine, even if it is an 808

I'd never sell it on, though.
I only sell on stuff I find myself not using anymore. And I'd play with the 808 constantly. ........................... "If you can't tell what genre the track you're making is you should have your instruments taken away and made to stand in the corner." |

I'm kind of tempted, just don't like how the machinedrum sounds. But they are going for nearly double the price I could justify. then there's the dave smith tempest (possibly) coming out soon (maybe).
