Tennis

'fuck's sake

I hate tennis, but ended up watching that just out of morbid amazement.

I reckon they should have played until someone dropped dead. Be it one of the players, the umpire or even a ball boy.

looks like it's all set for another 120 games or so. they keep on going on about moving it to centre court but all that'll mean is there'll be one match all day tomorrow on centre court

That match hasn't finished yet, has it?
With all the football going on, Wimbledon has been pushed to the side a bit in the news... I guess until Murry does somethng wrong.

Whoever wins this game has to play the next match at 3pm tonight... what if it's not finished by then?

I'm not really a fan of any sport. If it's on and people are watching it, I'll usually watch it too. But I never get caught up in it. It's just not that exciting to me.

Have a lot more fun doing other stuff.

I like doing other stuff as well. But competition can be good. Otherwise we won't know who is the best at doing stuff.

i pretty much hate all sport apart from curling and some athletics. hate football passionately. the worst place in the world for me is a pub when there's a match on.

Its quite funny that you dont like sport but you like to start threads about it. surely its some kind of self torture thing you are doing there.

I love sport, well sort of, i can watch most sports anytime, but im really into boxing and cricket. A combination of the two would be ace.

Crickobox.

I hate being in a pub when football is on. Suddenly everyone in the pub becomes braying twats who insist on shouting and screaming and generally ruining the atmosphere for people who aren't watching the football.

Thank god some pubs don't have tv screens.

I love the handwringing that comes from people who dont like sport, justifying it as a highbrow attack on a pugalistic activity carried out by overpaid thickos.

Its ok to not like it.

i dont like neing in pubs when footy is on either. I quite enjoy watching it but i dont like the english football fan mentality.Id happily watch it at home though.

I would also happily watch an entire test match on my own, stopping only to brew and skin up

Footie takes over the UK, simple as that. If you don't like it, you're fucked.

I like badminton. Fast as fuck, great spectator sport.

hasnt it been going on for 163 games.

I mean if they get to 59 all in the last set and neither has won, you can guarantee that neither will win the tournament so just grind them down and feed them to andy murray as nutrition.

yeah, every time the world cup is on, I think "oh well, it's only every 4 years."

and then that's all that's on for 4 weeks, and you can't escape it, which makes me resent it. Think that's probably why I dislike football more than anything else. At least other sports are avoidable, or at least you feel you can dip into them when you want to.

Another problem with football is the assumption that every man in the country must like it, and if you don't, then that's an anomoly.

I just don't like sport. I shouldn't need to justify myself, and yet frequently I feel as if I have to.

Im saying im sick of people trying to justify how much they dont like it. Seems like people start conversations to do so. Maybe you do like tennis?

i just find it boring. i've tried to concentrate, but it just doesn't hold my attention. well it does occasionally. the injury time of that last match was fun. i also like penalty shootouts and skilful goals. the to and froing of it bores me though.

Tennis is great if great players are going for it like in that Federer v Nadal final. Not mad into football but the world cup is fucking great. I like watching most half decent rugby games though.

Actually, the point of the thread was that it was an epic tennis match. The point of me mentioning that I don't like tennis was that even though I don't like tennis, I found this match really interesting, just because it was so epic.
