Vibrations

Why has it taken me so long to hear about this movie? It sounds amazing:

Quote:
Suburban rock guitarist gets in an accident and has both hands amputated. Becomes homeless, moves to SF, passes out in a warehouse which is used for a rave later that night. Wakes up, befriends raver girl (Christina Applegate!!), gets cyborg hands made by a “hacker” and his rave mc friend, dresses up like Robocop and plays scales on a midi keyboard live which apparently is the “ultimate” rave music because it has more notes than normal rave music. Tours with fierce ruling diva, U96 and Utah Saints. The end.

But I don't think I could ever watch the whole thing, it would BLOW MY MIND!

I daren't watch those Youtubes in case they don't live up to the fantasy. This could be the best film ever.

Haha, we all do. I hope you don't neglect your mod wheel, though.

The character with the cyberhands- recognise him anyone? Same actor played James Hurley in Twin Peaks.

I can imagine Spandex and Dan Gulberry's chat up lines include the words 'modwheel' and 'pitchbend'. But Spandex would get more chicks cos he does 'fake sax'.

Incidentally I'm the guy with the bumbag who wanders in towards the end, but REALLY gets into the music.

I used to work in an organ shop in Wolves in the late 80s when some of the posher Yamaha Electones (dual manual organs with pedals) started adding aftertouch (which senses subsequent pressure changes after the velocity of the initial keystrike).

So we though that it was well funny to say:

"Would you like to have a go on my organ? it's touch sensitive"

Trouble is, it took too much explanation to be funny. But on here, everyone gets it straight away.. so it's really funny yeah? yeah.

I also distinctly remember believing that the FM sax on a DX was very, very realistic. Good times.

Yeah, if anyone finds it, it MUST BE SHARED.

I'm going to have a screening. Gonna borrow a projector from the missus and show the whole thing, then I'm going to dress up in a cardboard robot suit and do a gig afterwards.

I just found it on Amazon for under 4 quid including postage. Got to be worth that.

That's a great scene it's a lot like seeing Alexander Robonick live a couple of years ago. Except he had almost nothing on, no robo suit just an old man gurning like a loon. It was great 8-)

Nice Loz. I ordered one. Cost £7 by the time the postage n that was in. But I think I'd pay a lot more than that to see this film.

Until I'm actually sat watching it.. and then it will just be awful.

You're all out of your minds.

Surely it's the kind of film which can only be enjoyed in tiny youtube clips?!?!
