The thing I liked best about Edward Woodward was the theme tune to The Equaliser and the music from The Wicker Man.

i used to stay up late to watch the equalizer as a boy. i had an equalizer toy gun which i once dragged through a hedge, from which was dangling what looked like a strange yellow flower, which fell to the ground and exploded into thousands and thousands of tiny yellow spiders

if it wasn't for edward woodward, i might never have seen anything like that in my life

Can't say I experienced anything like that as a kid, but I used to be allowed to stay up late to watch The Equalizer too

And yes, that theme tune was good.
