yeah, ivan/joe/robi is my favourite, i reckon. and a bunch of other people are particularly ace, but i don't want to upset anyone by not mentioning them. also, i haven't bothered looking at who's who

their bit really reminds me of Guided By Voices. In a good way, obviously.

some people are saying the mix is a bit short
i think the beauty of the mix is in the shortness of the tracks, it never gets boring why dont we do it all again? kicking off from where isoprax finished, same 32 bar rule, adding people who missed out and people who wanna go again keep going till we've got a 1 hour+ mix i reckon that'd be great i also really like the doing vocals in the tracks idea ps i liked gunjack, laszlo, ivan/joe/tsr bits the most oh yeah... how about a tempo increase next time too, 130bpm is well slow Last edited by emef : 2nd April 2009 at 00:44. |

I'd be up for joining in again, don't care what tempo really. think it works pretty well as it is, so no need to change or add new rules.

130 is probably the best tempo for all the different styles we're going to do

I like the unpredictability (e.g. change of style/vocal or instrumental etc.) and I think the only thing wrong with this is that I want to hear MOAR! I think the rules work great as they are.

i dont mind if the bpm goes up, once you get above 140 then half time is alright as well.
but if the bpm goes up then we should probably make it 48 bars or each part would be too short. as it is i agree with emef that they shouldnt be too long because then it doesnt get boring at any point and also you have to keep your focus ![]() |

I'm all for keeping it the same, maybe someone could ramp up the tempo on their bit making sure to note what BPM it has gone to.

yeah I think we should continue from isoprax... which is handy cos it means Trevor is all set to give the last four bars to the next person...
I'd say if we are gonna do a bpm change then the best thing to do is do that change before the last 4 bars.. and keep the last 4 bars at a consistent tempo. |

or emef go first and crank it up in his bit.. isoprax's bit builds quite nicely at the end as it is

If emef changes the tempo it'll end up as speedcore.

hehehe... yeah i don't think it turned out too shabby at 130bpm. If it was gonna change I'd want to dial it down a touch...
Could make it a time limit and not worry about the tempo? e.g. everyone gets 60 seconds and can do wotever the fuck they like in it. ........................... lovely cloakroom. lovely cloaks - barbam nondum video |
