Electronics/Electrics help - Julian?

I'm assuming Julian will know this, but anyone else who knows, please do answer.

Got myself one of these:
http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/miditocv.htm

But it annoyingly doesn't have an on/off switch, which means I need to scrabble under my desk every time to unplug or plug it in. I basically want to retrofit a simple switch onto it, so I don't need to do that.

What switch could I use that will handle 240v AC, and be safe to use?

Where do you want the switch? I meen if the unit is sitting on the desk in front of you, its best to have the switch on it, i guess, but if its shoved round the back of the rack, then a switch half way down the wire may be best?

Either way, i suspect the simplest solution would be an inline swich, the type of thing you often get on table lamps and the like? Anything else and you would ahve to start drilling holes etc. , not to mention planning that the back of the switch doesnt interfear with the internal workings.

An inline would be lots simpler.

surprised you didn't go for the kenton with an MS20... 3 extra auxs to patch into your semi-modular-ness.

didn't have the money to get that, so really wanted to get the cheapest thing possible. I can always upgrade when my balance has recovered.

my entire setup fits into two shoulder bags. Don't really fancy lugging loads of stuff around.
