F'#cking myspace interface

Right, so, after years of avoiding it, ive gone and (partially) set up a myspace page.

And then i come to avatars...

Can i work out why mine doenst display properly? No.
Can i look it up? No.
Can i work out why other peoples do? No (you see a trend starting here?

I think this is my url, and, if you look there, the avatar is aligned fine.

Look at it in a friends list though (ie here - click Q) and its all cropped, decentered.

Now ive tried all sorts of image sizes, ratios, etc. and i cant get it right. The only way ive had any sucess at all is by making the image real small on my 'profile' page and then it gets enlarged in peoples friend lists.

Ive tried to search for the specified dimensions, with no luck. Ive used the dimensions of other peoples pictures, again with no luck (still gets cropped) and its right irritating me.

Any of you web geniuses want to enlighten me before i get even more upset?

(and after that i need to work out how to get it to remove my relationship status and star sign!!!)

julian, its myspace, the very center of internet broken-ness. you'll notice if you look around that other avatars are cropped in that view, like venetian snares. im sure if you took the time you could figure out what size and aspect ratio causes cropping in that small view. or you could just get on with your life.

yeah, i did - i saved off other peoples non-cropped images, and made sure mine was the exact same dimensions... and then, whaddya know... it still didnt work!

anyway...

i look in someones friend list. i pick an avatar. image properties are 90x89 px, so i make an image that exact size, and upload it, set it to my avatar.

i look in someones friends list at my image, and its cropped again. but when i check the size, sure enough, its 90x89???

is it somthing to do with the wrong dpi
