Sparrage?

Some of it is okay...

Don't get the deal with bassline house / niche stuff. Sounds just like Speed Garage did - hardly new or exciting yet people seem to be raving about it.

@Emef: Thanks

@Bracket: Yeah it's ridiculous. Speed Garage never went away up north and throughout most of London - I reckon there've always been more 2-step / Garage pirates than there have Dubstep or Grime, but suddenly everyone's in a tizz about it because of one tune in the charts. Sucks duuuuude.

I still like it. Big stupid speed garage. Double 99 RIP... I Don't Smoke The Reefer... bwarrrp bwarrrp bwarrrp... I love the 2-steppy things Si Begg's done too, and I like Pirate Soundsystem who are just ridiculous.

It's hard blud it's hard.

I just think it's funny that everybody and his cat has got their knickers in a twist about one speed garage single.

You used to hear some great Sparage on pirate stations in West London in the late nineties.. It sounded like Nude Photo meets Paul Johnson... but UK style.. and ten years more modern... and err... ON ACID. Obviously never knew what any of it was.

Horsepower, Zed Bias, Sticky, Wookie, El B, Steve Gurley... Get the "Roots Of Dubstep" comp for loads of that stuff.... instrumental, or snippets of MCs treated to sound like chrome robots....

I wonder if anyone's coined 'wonk-step' yet , must surely be round the corner.

My favourite musical genre is : shite, which mostly everything tends to be

I think it's a stupid term but the subeditors slot it in whenever I say "d&b"

Dunno but it was number 2 in the 'proper charts' so it must've touched a nerve with the general punter... the autotuned vocals do my nut a bit but i like the STOOPID bass.

Things I discovered today: Wookie played all his basslines on a real live Moog.
