I think he's proper funny, despite his repellent dandyist manner - that series he did last week made me laugh more than in a long time, but I think people disagree on him a lot. What do you think of him?

I have only seen bits of him, never a full programme. But I don't like what I've seen. His stupid faux-dandyness annoys me far too much. But he's more agreeable than Justin Lee Collins.

I like him - thought that Big Brother's Big Mouth was pretty shite without him last year.

Haven't seen any of the new tv show though I like the banjo advert for the Beeb - lovely bit of comic timing with the strings breaking just as the vocals are supposed to begin, but instead you get Brand groaning and for just a millisecond you think he is actually singing REM.

the new Viz Profanisaurus entry describes his hair as a "Faffro" i.e. loads of effort for a wanky result.

I still think he's WELL funny though, as long as he steers clear of a) too much whimsy e.g. "ooh and then a million sparrers might come and fly me to magic land" type stuff and b) too many catchphrases e.g. "boyeboye!" "'citin'!" etc. The new series gets it spot on as he sticks to real subjects and does his standup really well.

His manner irritates me too much for me to be able to stand watching or listening to him, so I can't say whether he's funny or not. I mean, I would say emphatically not, but I don't really have much to base that on as within seconds of seeing or hearing him my ears clench shut in annoyance.
