i don't want to be boring but this smells of gimmick to me

the electribes are great, but do they really need a valve?

i think it's a good idea to add tube circuitry to the elctribes. the idea ehind these guys was good, but they had korg's signature tinny sound... lots of stuff going on way up in the higher frequencies (in that range it's more percieved than heard but your mind still knows it's there). maybe now that it's running through some analog circuitry it will chop off some of those frequencies and just warm it up in general. it's a good idea for them but it still doesn't seem like something i'd buy. it works for other people though.

In the past I had the EA-1 (was one of the worst thing I never get). The ER-1 was kind of okay... but after a while the drum was kind of boring (limited parameter and sound shaping) but nice kick and toms...

The Es-1 was a good thing even with the 32khrz (I was using it to create some glitch and cuts).

One good thing on the next one for me will depends on the bpm counter... so if I can using it with a dj set-up...it will be great.

I just wonder how easy they would break like in a suitcase on a plane (A major consideration when buying any bit of kit for me), but yeah, looks like it could be good....

M H - please, do list stuff that has broken for you in transit, as well as what air lines refuse to pay up

Nothing badly damaged so far, but I did manage to trash one of the stereo outs on a friends mpc I borrowed, and I've snapped the on button off mine...
