Gah. Again, I feel I'm on the wrong forum, this forum is for 'people' who love capers AND Flight of the Conchords.

Conchords - I've tried but I just don't get it - it's one of those 'gentle' comedies isn't it? ie not very funny

I am watching Rome

i am watching at the moment - Paul Merton in India, very patronising look at India, but has some very humorous moments with an extortion gang of Eunuchs. And Spaced S1 + 2.

I am watching Rome

one of my alltime favourites that.

don't bother with the second series though, obviously one of the strongest characters is missing, and it replaces the depth with sex, loads of it. don't mind sex in programs mind you but when it's an obvious cover up for actual substance, meh.

I watched two episodes of flight of the conchords and thought it was so-so... cos I had the whole series I kept watching and after about 4 episodes I really liked it. The obvious comparison at first is the mighty boosh.. but after a bit I realised it was nothing like it.. in some ways more like curb your enthusiasm in the tone and the the way it builds... or at least in that it took me about 5 episodes to get curb...

i watched conchords just recently. similarily first thought it was a bit blaah, then quite started enjoying it. it all really depends on how good/bad the song of the episode is, the dialogue is sort of solid imo. some tunes are well funny, and others, well, not so.

curb is goody, first three seasons especially.

now i'm not watching anything, complete lack of interest.

I don't really mind whether the songs are actually that good, it's their accents, timing and the manager I like. I wish I could type in kiwi...

'Band Meeting... Britt?'

See that made me laugh.

was 4th the producers one or was that the 5th? didn''t like the producers series so much whichever one it was.

trailer park boys is another series that got very very good in the last series after a shakey middle.

The third series of Curb is the best, I reckon. The Producers series was ok, still plenty of funny moments. I really liked the last episode of that series, though.

Yes. Only one more season and then they are stopping. They said they are finding it too difficult to write songs to work into a whole season long plot. The vast majority of the songs they used in the first season they had written years ago. So they were able to come up with story lines to tie them together. Now they are doing it all from scratch and have to meet a deadline.

in only just started watching the The Sopranos. Almost finished with season 1 now. I've been watching Dexter, but that seems to be getting a bit embarrassing by now in terms of writing...
