Ooo I dunno, Jez Quigley was a scary dude I reckon. Reminds me of a few 'types' I used to sort of know from Salford, and I'm glad I don't know them now !

Alan Bradley was nowt really.... my claim to fame was being erm, sort of near, the area on Blackpool prom, when he decided to take on a tram ....

Corrie is great though. Sort of went thru a bit of a shitty 'nowt really happening' sort of stage until Mr Hillman arrived in his lovely suit and tie (at any time of the day - class) combo.

But nothing, I repeat nothing, takes on the mighty ... Emmerdale.

Wicked viewing ....

Emmerdale has it all Emma. Sex, betrayal, murder, humour, a nice dollop of smoochy love. Plus smart stuff like farms, pigs, The Woolpack, and fields and other stuff like that. And its good old fashioned Northern.

Aaah ..

All at the perfect time of 7pm when you're eating your evening meal.

I can't believe you're not into it Emma, after all its called

Emmadale.

Boom..

Boo .. m.

well you've got a point there... i think the memories of when it was Emmerdale Farm are too strong though
and i think my boyfriend would actually leave me if i started watching it. i had to stop brookside because just being in the same room as it would make him contemplate suicide. he cant even hear the music without tensing up.

I totally agree with him. Brookie gets on my tits big time. Especially now its been moved to a 15 hour special (whatever) on a Saturday.

The last time I saw it, was when the whole feature long episode focussed on Ron Dixon, Bev and her little twat of a son.

It was just loud, screaming, shouting and fighting, true full on scouser style all afternoon. I mean, I get enough of that in real life, I don't wanna watch it on tv !!! ;-)

Not the best way to come down after a heavy sesh like ...

I can feel my shackles rising just thinking about it

Aaah Emmerdale, little rabbits and lambs bounding about in a field...

I feel better again.

The A Team were ace I agree. Apart from Murdock who did my swede in.

Now if the A Team suddenly appeared in Emmerdale.

Now that's an explosive combination.

how can you dislike murdock (I presume "did my swede in" is uk slang for this) ...? it was the chemistry between murdock and b.a. that always caused the greatest highlights in that show...

the A-team could make full use of all the barns and machinery around to rustle up some uber vehicle and im sure seth's facial hair could be put to amusing use in the plot-line.

have you seen the a team with boy george in?

i think that they should let the soap charachters spill over into other soaps alot more. You know for example ...dot cotton goes to visit her long lost daughter in, i dunno, liverpool or something, and her daughter turns out to be a character from brookside so dot switches soaps for a while.
Hell this is shit I don't even watch television...why i am i even here talking about this. Lets discuss something else...i've spent an awful lot of time recently recording the antiques roadshow and then turning it into mp3's. God i hate it. I hate it so much. It was the last of the present series this sunday just gone and when it finished i danced and danced. I did the same thing recently with the crufts dog show. That was just as bad. They talk some ballox on there. Some real arse. And it it's all about damn dogs. Talking, with authority, about how the dogs must feel and the emotions they must be going through. I mean they're fukin dogs! PEOPLE ARE FUCKING DYING! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!

That did happen for the first time a while ago. A lad (a knobhead lad by the way) left Brookside to live in Chester, and then turned up in Hollyoaks (which is based in Chester).

I think it was a case of it happened because Phil Redmond produces them both .... but anywayz ....

I knew a korean girl in school whose middle name was bich. pronounced the same as bitch.

and I knew a boy in grade school who was vietnamese and his first name was phuc. but the u was a long u so it wasn't pronounced fuck. untill the one day we had a substitute and he told the teacher that his name was fuck. hilarity ensued.
