greasy jet

so me, my lady and our wee boy are going to majorca in a couple of months for a holiday. the thing is we've booked our flights with easy jet, all the booking comfirmation details have been emailed to us - including the insurance details and that, but they haven't taken the money from our account.

has anything like this happened to any other no-furniture peeps?

if you've got all the flight details sent to you does that mean you've got tickets, even when the cash hasn't been taken??

would be a fucken bonus to get the flights for free, but would also suck ass if we get to the airport and they say we're not on the flight.

any advice?

can't you give them a ring to confirm that you're on the flight? - don't mention money or anything, just say your double checking to make sure.

What you're trying to get away with is effectively stealing and hardly a good example to be setting your child.

sleazyjet arn't so bad, I've flown on "proper" airlines that have been just as budget service wise...

I refuse to line Michael O'Learey's (Ryanair) pockets on principle though...

fist, just wondering if you are going somewhere that you already know and is ok for the baby or are you just going and will find out?

we're thinking about going on holiday but not really sure where to go and what kind of thing, so let us know how you get on.

Over booking planes, late, scrum for dirty seats, abusing passengers and refusal to accept that something might be their problem. I could go on? Every bad experience is backed up by that Pikey Jet programme they had on TV.

I've never flown Ryan Air so I wouldn't know how bad they are.

mdk, we're going there because we've got mates that live there now, so will be staying at their place for most of the time. so i can't see any problems with taking wee face there. just have to avoid all the meatheads that will be in magalof.

we went to Normandy/Britanny last year - got a little house for the week for quite cheap. Could drive with babber and get the ferry etc.. close to nice beaches for building sandcastles etc. Not so great if your the other side of Europe though...

Thats what i did...And the "holding pattern" in phone line cost me round about 20€ .
I returned yesterday from barca with easyjet...I had 1. No confirmation for the flight after phoning them twice. 2. They booked the money about 3-4 days later from account...So...it might be worth waiting a few days... But nevertheless, and even they have no frills, the expensive (and rude) call center service is unacceptable...

oh I know the problems but I expect them when booking budget, if I wanted better I'd book business class

and to be fair I've flown loads of times on them and ryanair and never had major issues

fair enough... tbh, the schedule often means i fly with KLM or Lufthansa anyway. Always polite and clean with mistakes rectified very quickly with immediate admission of guilt... and from City Airport.

I added up the cost of tracking out to pikey airports in terms of time, trains, cabs and food - add in the issues = overall its cleaper to fly normal airlines for me.
