numerology sequencer

just got it after a reccomendation here.

anyone got it? fired it up last night, but dont get why you woul dwant all the limitations of using an analogue sequencer on the computer. although i think with an external sequencer it is a great rack for drum machines and vstis. got some izotope plugs that are mega brillzo.

anyone any ideas on workflow with it?

I think the point of it is that sequences for pitch, gate time, velocity, and other params (.e.g. filter cutoff) are not tied to the same sequence of events. So you can have a sequence of say 7 pitchs, and then a sequence of 3 cut off values, and play them together so you get a combination:

a bit like this



pitch: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

so the sequnce only repeats here


so although you only gave 2 short sequences originally you end up with one that is much longer. adn you get nice techno effects from sequences of different lengths.

i think that's the idea anyway.

I'm going to check out the demo, it looks quite fun. But I don't know if I'd pay money for it.

yeah it is good for that, need to try it out. but its really limited by the pattern switrching and sequencing. its total analogue style, rather than using some aspects of it being on the computer, like better patern switching.
