How do you rip mp3s to a dvd disc
I've never actually burned mp3s to a dvd, only ever to cds. I've been having a playaround this morning & it's driving me mad because although I've found some shareware stuff that is capable of doing the job, there would seem to be no facility for selecting folders only individual tracks, which will be extremely time consuming for the number of tracks you can burn onto a dvd.
So those of you who do use dvds to store your music, what do you use to burn & is there an 'add folder' facility. Cheers in advance. |

I think it totally depends on the player.. some players let you navigate through folders and some don't.

eh? you want to burn as a data disc, or as audio you can play on your dvd player. if you burn a data disc some dvd players will give you a menu.
i think cds and dvds are limited by time, not by the amount of data if you want to play them in a player, burnt as a dvd, not data disc. Last edited by Yer_Maw : 31st July 2006 at 13:16. |

I just want to store music on dvds as it saves space to do it that way, as opposed to on normal cds. I'm not bothered about playing them in anything, just want them as a storage solution, so that when I need my files I can simply call them up off the dvd. Also was going to burn some for other peeps to have. Does that make sense? Should I be trying to burn a data disc then? What software/shareware should I be looking for to do the job? Cheers |

Cheers, yer maw- I have Nero on one laptop, but no dvd-burner (which I take it you will need for the job- even though you're only burning music) and have a dvd burner on the other but alas no software.

check tucows.com for some free or shareware software that will do the job. I'm pretty sure you'll find something useful.
