ploughman's pie...

is it some sort of old fashioned thing like the cornish pasty? or was it just made up by supermarkets?

ive ate a shitload of it today...

how does this differ from the shepherds pie, the trawlermans pizza, the traffic wardens gammon stew or the hangmans pasty?

ploughman's pie is like the ploughmans sandwich in the fact that it contains cheese, pork and pickle....
so it's like a pork pie with an added layer of cheese and pickle basically.

we have a local dude who won da best pork pie contest in UK, several times in a row. The other dude that won it on the other years ALSO makes them in shropshire.

The first one makes an AWSOME ploughmans pie. It doesnt have a lid, but is topped with cherry tomatos and spring onion. Its lush.

I am gonna make a pie tonight, layers of pork and apple! Pies rule.
