waldorf attack on the mac

i'm trying to use waldorf attack on my powerbook g4 and the program runs fine but the audio sounds crackly, as if it's clipping out. now, i'm just using the little mini-jack output to get to my mixer, but i know my soundcard is fine because i can play cd's off of it without any crackle/clipping... i'm positive it's isolated to the program itself. does anyone know what i can do or if i am doing anything wrong?

I hate to ask - but it's not a sketchy copy, is it ?

(Only I had similar problems, so bought it.)

If it's not that, try deleting all the files / preferences etc. and re-installing - the Waldorf copy protection / verification is pretty harsh.

no.. it's not quite a legit copy (hangs his head). i figured that this would probably be the reason. i just wanted to hear what it sounded like! i hope this doesn't start a whole other thread on piracy. i like it, i buy it. thats all.

Yeah - we don't want to be getting into THAT debate...

It's only UK £73 at the moment, and well worth it IMHO.
