yeah. me too. norman mailers a pretty zealous christian too and i like him as well. bragg also likes a drink so takes one week a month off booze. i might try that.

Very cool idea. I know that when Bragg does 'In Our Time' on Radio 4, for which he has to be in the studio at 7am or so, he insists on a glass of champagne next to his mic.

I don't know anything about him. I just feel covered with "smarmy cunt butter" whenever I watch the South Bank show.. and you can tell that his knowing nods and silent responses are chosen in hindsight.

his nodding didn't really seem to match what was being said, almost as if all the nods were recorded after the interview

Listen to In Our Time on Radio 4 on a Thursday morning... he has the greatest experts on any given subject - and we're talking really involved things like the rule of Rameses III or the nature of dark matter - in the studio, and you can just tell that a) he knows loads of shit and b) when he doesn't, he wants to know more and is genuinely inquisitive.
