TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- A prominent Iranian newspaper says it is going to hold a competition for cartoons on the Holocaust to test whether the West will apply the principle of freedom of expression to the Nazi genocide against Jews as it did to the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.

We were having a whiskey fuelled drawing competition last night. Originally it was to design a new logo for Channel 4, so of course we just ended up trying to outoffend each other. This was the winner (not mine, my mate Ben's).

Of course it does, certainly in Islamic countries - some would say rightly so, as it is definitely a mouthpiece for the Neo Cons. Though actually more recently the Iranian government has decided that any offensive statements by anyone in the west are actually from "The Jews". In fact they are currently saying the offending cartoons were inflicted on Islam by "The Jews" as a "punishment" for Hamas being elected in Palestine. This of course conveniently ignores the fact that the cartoons were initially printed a good four months before the Hamas victory. (oh and incidentally were printed in full in an Egyptian newspaper to little reaction at the time).
