Reverb/Delay FX unit

Hi,

I've been using the Nord Modular a lot recently and I really like it but it's a bit lacking in the reverb/delay departments. I was thinking of getting a seperate reverb/delay fx unit for it, anybody have any recommendations?

what's your price range? i'm a big fan of the tc electronics m-one and the digitech s200. they both fall in the <$200 range. the lexicon mpx series is supposed to be outstanding too, but i think you gotta get the mpx 500 to compete with the programability of the m-one and the s200, and the mpx500 costs a bit more (don't remember how much off the top of my head). i personally wasn't a big fan of the alesis stuff (really disliked it actually) but it's all up to your own ears!

I can not give you a specific name to buy, or product to inquire about. IMHO all reverb and delay units kick ass, and the differences are simply the character of the particular unit in question (i.e. no reverb is bad, it just might not fit what you're currently looking for).

I would suggest getting 2 though.. why? because reverb works in two places on the nord -> intra and inter patch. I used to have loads of run by feeding the outs of my modular through reverb, then patching the reverbed signal back in via the external audio jacks to be filtered and gated, or whatever, by the modular further.
tHE Second reverb would be solely for post modular mixdown (cause a reverb signal modulated by the inner workings of the nord may loose quite a bit of "reverb" character). *sigh*.. to own a patch bay again.

i got an extra patchbay laying around if you want it. it's a 48 point (24in/24out) it's not the bestest, but it works fine.

Humm.. intriguing..

How much?

Ideally, I would like to own a patchbay that allowed for repatching to be done via a pin matrix, ala the vcs3. That would be cool.
