Bugger it -> Logic question...

...that I should have asked awhile ago:

How in the hell do you set up VSTi's in logic 5.x?

can somebody give me a step by step.. I really need to test logic to see if it's worth the $699 pricetag.

I know how to setup midi instruments in the enviroment, but thanx to the economy, my recent relocation, and other expenses, my midi studio has shrunk down to only 3 boxes (sadly, thanx to opcode's inability to code new drivers, my $300 studio 64xtc 8 port midi rack now sits in the corner of my room, unused). Anyhow, midi gear won't come back into play until I get a G4, and that's still months away.

I simply need to get some VSTis running to check out the interface of this program.

1. create an audio-instrument track (e.g. "audio-instrument #1"
2. double click the track (or open the audio mixer from the menu)
3. the audio mixer opens and brings you automatically to the audio-instrument section
4. select your vsti for channel #1 by clicking the button above the channel fader

I'm currently not in the studio, so I don't know if everything's right. but it should work like that...
