Pear drops! (had someone smuggle me some from the UK, can't get 'em here). We have those salty liquorice things here too. They're called Salmiakki and are full of Ammonium Chloride, which is bad for your heart if you eat too much. They're...um...interesting.

I quite like that salty licorice.. wouldn't eat more than one at a time but it's quite unique, the sort of thing you could hand around at dinner parties whilst wearing the latest skateboard belts.

some scandinavian sweets KNOW they're shit, there's one called 'rotan rykäys'= rat's phlegm (in finnish). it's swedish and it has a picture of a rat puking on the packet. haven't tried it (surprisingly enough). 'turkin pippuri'=turkish pepper is one I have tried though. JESUS. i'd rather eat the latest skateboard belt.

I BET! I gotta try that! I love making ice-cream and especially less obvious flavours. Saffron icecream works, and so does rosemary

I had some coriander and raspberry too once, that was good.
And for the ultimate middle class dinner party.. strawberry and balsamic vinegar ice cream

Brown bread ice cream is very easy to make... just fry up a couple of slices with lots of butter and sugar and use that... very naughty..
