moding gear
so who here likes to rip open old analog gear and put extra knobs on? i've only dabbled in it buy surface mounting some pots on some drum machines for extra control (linn drum lm2, korg kpr-77). anybody have a modded 606? i've been wondering just how extensive those mods by analogue solutions are. is it worth modding? are they new sound dynamics that great? or anyone know any filter-in mods? i got a friend who wants to add a filter-in on his juno 60. come on all you techies.. show yourselves!

Moding in the key of C
http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/
Click on "schematic" or "mods" for some DIY info, if you didn't already acquire it. I used to mod, and be in the moding community (analogue heaven), but I was never good enough to get anal about it now. I'm all PC nowadays, since moding was really just a poor-mans sample editor for me before soundforge and midi controllers hit the scene. btw- I did have a modded sh101, and 606 (indi out, kick tune), and a friend had the patch points extracted on an arp odyssey, but beyond that I never got toooooo deep. |
