For the last week and a half I've been listening to the very normal pop music my students like. Found some CD's in a sale as an antidote- just finished listening to LCD Soundsystem's Sound of Silver which is good. Just started on the Rip It Up and Start Again comp.

A friend bought us the lcd LP & i've only just got round to listening to it properly & agreed, really like it, especially 'someone great'.

Aside from the pointless cover of All Tomorrow's Parties this is good vintage Seeds.

This is great, produced by Giorgio Moroder.I also want to hear the English version, Fearless.

V/A: Cruisin' 1967
Great rock and roll compilation. It's a fake radio show complete with wacky radio jock and stupid ads. Ripe for sampling.

'Moving Snares' is a good track.

if you like that then also check '2D' and 'Fuckin' Nutter' by Skream.

The latter has the craziest time signature i have heard in a while

32 beats in the 8 bars are split into groups of something crazy like 5,8,8,11

Tha don't make much sense...
