85 % cocoa

i've got some lindt 85% cocoa dark chocolate,
and when i eat a bit of it, i get a nice chocolate rush but then half an hour later, i feel really tired.

anyone else get similiar effect of 85 % cocoa dark chocolate ?

its just lindt chocolate. can get it at a lot of places that sell chocolate.

i normally go for 70% - but i saw the 85% and thought - gotta have it!.

nature of the sugar rush, innit? same with caffeine - you get wired, burn up all your energy just sitting there and then you feel all spazzed afterwards

Nah, caffeine is a much longer lasting buzz that sugar. A Double espresso can get you through a whole day at work. A bar of chocolate wouldn't get me through this sentence.

But I see people at work eating little bits of it all through the day so maybe that's the way to do it?

well, i've never taken the double espresso route, but if i knock back a few cups of regular i feel shit a couple of hours later

The half-life of caffeine is over well over 6 hours so it doesn't get used up very fast unlike sugar. But it puts your body on defcon 9, that's probably why you feel fucked after a few hours But it's still there, which you can see if you try to go to sleep only a couple of hours later and you can't switch off.
