Anyone off to Glasto?

I've been looking through Glasto line-up recently and thought that there are many artists that are worth of seeing out there, like my fav ROYKSOPP and some other acts.. although it is being argued that the festival is becoming even more and more commercialised,

I didnt et the ticket this year anyway.. anyone here did?

As to ROYKSOPP, check them out if you havent yet.

I did. Only took me 10 minutes on the interweb. Then I just reloaded the order page and ordered tickets for 7 of my friends.

5th time I'll be going this year. I know a lot of people on here hate it, but I fucking love it.

As for it being commercialised, yes it is. You can only buy Carling and Budweiser beer, but that's about it. To be honest, if it wasn't for all the commercial sponsership, I reckon the tickets would cost about 4 times as much. It's a big operation, and costs a lot of money to put on, especially when it comes to security and police presense. But you can easily ignore the commercial side, because at the heart of it, it's stil just a massive party in a field - the acts are still mainly decided by Michael and Emily Eavis, and yeah, you get rubbish on, but there is plenty of good stuff, too.

And Jamie's there this year.

Just me n Loz then?

I like to tell people where I'm going if I'm off to meet someone strange.. so do keep an eye on the newspapers and if anyone sees "Nottingham Man Goes Missing at Glastonbury", please phone them and say "LOZ DID IT".

aye glasto is good. Only thing that annoyed me is you cant buy stuff to make sandwiches, general foodstuffs etc. Slave to the crappy burger vans, which is no use for 5 bloody days.

you get milk on site every day, which is lovely.

I just woke up after getting back. If no one hears from Spandex again, that's just a coincidence. I'm sure he got swept away in the rain or something.

Cassetteboy, Barry and DJ Rubbish were excellent, although Barry's mixing skills are decidedly dodgy.

Jamie was fantastic, it took him about 5 minutes to get into the swing of things, but after that, the entire crowd was in the palm of his hand. Although I'm sure sure if Pablo was genuinely having a bad acid trip, or just in character, as he seemed to be spending the majority of the gig having an arguement with an imaginary fly.

his mixing was terrible, about 4 really bad mixes, with tunes that didn't fit together at all

I'm glad I'm not the only one, that's exactly what I thought when I went to the Metro gig - he was at the bar later and seemed like he was still in character/still having an acid trip - I was too scared to talk to him...
