So what happened to the live DVD that was supposedly coming with the CD version of the album? Warpmart don't mention it.. they just mention a 'free badge'...

he does pop up everywhere at the moment. an interview with him in Future Music in a couple of months, too.
he really does deserve to be famous, but I selfishly hope he doesn't get too big. I'm not sure if his show will translate to large venues. Who saw him at the RAH? Did that work? ........................... "If you can't tell what genre the track you're making is you should have your instruments taken away and made to stand in the corner." |

I'm sure I saw him in a hedge earlier, and in a funny shape on one of my crisps.

"electro legend cristian vogel" is very nice but factually incorrect as cristian has never really been big on electro.
i enjoyed this article - it was very reminiscent of neil tennant- era smash hits writing - very descriptive and active so you get a good picture of the interviewee's physical responses - and knowing jamie well i recognised him in this. |

they also said that warps roster was composed mainly of german blokes in cagoules, as far as i can see they do not have any germans on there regular roster at all, cagoules or no.

ha ha, yes - that was a total mistake wasnt it? i dont think the writer knows much about music. warp = sheffield. have warp ever released any music made by germans? |

i'm sure warp have released german music, but i don't think they've done so for a while. i don't think warp have ever really fitted into that german / cagoule stereotype (not that there is anything wrong with it in my opinion, i appreciate a good cagoule). and warp and sheffield are pretty much unconnected these days

im fully aware of that but i think if anyone had any clue about electronic music they would know that warp is a northern english label historically, wherever they are now. |

all true, but (if you write for the guardian guide) you've got to take those snappy soundbites / sideswipes as and when they come up. or maybe they were just really clueless. still it was a good interview overall, if i had never heard of jamie or warp i would have thought - that sounds cool, i'll have a listen. |

it was fucking bonkers and amazing. best thing on the night... I can't imagine what it would be like in a small venue tbh. He filled the space easily - amazing for one man and his boxes (and jacket!) |
