Learning Audio DSP
I may be doing some work on objective evaluation of audio quality in the near future.
This will probably require me getting some more knowledge about DSP. Does anyone have direct experience of good textbooks, preferably with source code and an emphasis on audio applications? For anyone else who is interested I have come across this one which is free and looks good: http://www.dspguide.com Also, this textbook is highly recommended: Richard G. Lyons: Understanding DSP 2nd Ed. Anyone know this one? I am guessing that my Calculus could be a bit rusty too...any good revision/tutorials that will get me back up to speed quickly? p.s. was somebody on this forum doing subjective measurements of audio quality of convertors recently? I came across a few papers and algorithms that might be useful to them. |

thanks, algo. I actually looking at the speech side of audio which seems to be quite a bit different than music. Those links should be useful though. I've seen a good pschoacoustics + DSP book on amazon which looks good for me.
