Yard[skam/narita]guests On Electromagnetic - 22/03

On tomorrow's show me and Kelly are pleased to announce that they will be showcasing a live/DJ set from Skam & Narita/M3rck recording artist, Yard, who hails from Portland, Oregon. He’ll be bringing his rare dancefloor destruction to obliterate everything in his path. His music is a rampant nod to Detroit, with breaks used out of context, hiccuping vocals shredded through a meat grinder and cataclysmic basslines. Yard’s uncompromising sound evokes both gritty city life and abstract organic atmospheres, creating the perfect environment for shaking your ass and thumpin’ your head. Expect a set of well crafted dance music and shuddering walls of sound.

As well as destroying spots with possibly the freshest techno to be heard in years, Yard also runs the CD-r label toast & jam. The label releases mainly electronic, ambient and/or experimental music but the sound is not confined to any specific genre and releases any sort of interesting ground breaking music. They have recently expanded their formats to include vinyl and dj mix tapes, however, the emphasis still remains on providing affordable music for your listening [dis]pleasure.
