Beards

As I'm off work for a month, I decided that there was little point in shaving. So I've grown myself a beard.

It makes me feel very manly, and I think it suits me, actually. Am I fooling myself, though? I know we have the odd bearded gentleman on here, but what's the general consensus?

Are beards great, or dodgy?

i mind when i was 18 my mum strongly encouraged me to grow one for a laugh, why she was so keen i have no idea and perhaps need not know. couldn't get past itchy day 5 though.
i rekon they are good for a bit of comedy, my mate had a cracking full on teenwolf effort going for a bit.

I have a beard. I like it. It's not a styled beard, but i do keep it trim. I would like to see loz's progress on his beard as well.

yep......

that's why i don't see the point of the goatee. you have to shave some parts of your face regularly, but you still have a beard? worst of both worlds

nah.. The Goatee is simple.. you shave all the easy bits and leave the slightly fiddly bit.. believe me.. as a lazy man the Goatee is a gift... you can look presentable in like 5 mins..

I dunno at what point a beard becomes 'styled', but I'm quite partial to the mujahideen combat beard.. fully bearded but shaved fairly close so you don't trap your it in your Kalashnikov.
