ooh, i couldn't pick just one. sometimes it's boring old milk, sometimes i desire the intense sugar rush of white, and at others only the deeply sensuous cocoa explosion of dark will do

I've seen continentals heading home with armfuls of Cadbury's Dairy Milk, because they apparently prefer it's creamy taste over the somewhat middle of the road Continental opinion of milk chocolate - for example try Lindt, plain milk chocolate, it lacks the creaminess of a good English bar and the bitterness of proper dark chocolate. I actually find Lindt plain milk chocolate rather bland. English milk chocolate has 5% vegetable fat content in it, which is actually where the creamy taste comes from. Sometime ago this had continental chocolatiers in arms - and they lobbied Brussels hard. Trying to force British Chocolate manufacturers to call their chocolate - Vegelate. I remember when this was in the news a BBC news reporter doing blind taste tests outside Brussels with a British Mars Bar (which as the 5% vegetable fat in the chocalate) and Continental one - almost all the Belgians asked preffered the taste of the British manufactured Mars Bar. Not that the BBC were biased or anything ![]() |

sorry may, i wish i had brought back a tonne of it, except for the fact that i am uncontrollable around it and would turn into a candidate for 'you are what you eat'
maybe there is a kindly swiss person here who can do a bit of ovamaltine exporting? |

.Aaaahhh Cadbury is real shite! Best for me: milk chocolate with almonds (from Aldis), lindt milk chocolate,Toblerone and Nestle white crunch.
Someone asked about the Jaffa cake with milk chocolate. Well here in Germany we have the Jaffa cake with white chocolate and cherry filling... |

there was another brand that appeared later on, but it tasted of strawberry or something and didn't really do it for me. not like blasting powder, anyways |

the one I'm talking about was a bit on the strawberry side - but it was little bits of hard candy... if you ever ate it with chewing-gum it messed up your mouth big time!
![]() that space powder does sound good though - I love cinammon... |
