end of the rave generation-- hello game generation
i mentioned i played World of Warcraft in another post. i still have the bug, been playing most nights and throughout the day. the reason i'm here again is because the server is down for maintennance.
they've said ages ago the future would be virtual, and you can already feel a bit of it in online gaming. i think WoW is a breakthrough for being engaging with a story and more interesting virtual world. broadbands, faster computers. soon they say that they'll be capable of having movie-quality graphics like Toy Story or The Incredibles. we'll be spending weekends with 16 hour benders in front of a terminal. they complained society keeps us from knowing our neighbors anymore, what will society become next... |
