is the next war coming ?

The USA: War against Iran?

"New Yorker ones": Reconnaissance patrols look for already targets

Secret US commands spied in the past months a report of the US star reporter Seymour Hersh according to possible attack targets in Iran. This reported the outstanding magazine "New Yorker one" on Sunday. President George W. Bush took over and pursues complete control of the US secret services and the Pentagon with its assistance a "aggressive and ambitious program against Iran and against goals in the war against the terrorism", thus Hersh.
The US special-purpose forces tried after the report of Hersh to question intensively approximately three dozen chemical and nuclear plants as well as rocket launching sites in Iran. The star reporter appointed himself thereby to the Pentagon close a standing advisor. Since summer 2004 US teams advanced over the border of Pakistan to Iran. A goal of the Pentagons is it to identify "and destroying as much military infrastructure as possible goals for a possible bombardment."

White house: "Military means not to exclude"

The white house disclaimed the US transmitter according to CNN the report. To "we see Iran with concern" natural, said president advisor Dan Bartlett with CNN on Sunday. The report from Hersh is however "full inaccuracies". The USA set also opposite Teheran on diplomatic means. One cannot exclude military means. "Ever in history a US president did not exclude military means", so Bartlett.

The USA co-operated after arrangement with of Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf closely with scientists of Pakistan, who would have cooperated before with the Iranians. For this support of Pakistan Washington Musharraf assured that its government is not fallen. Besides the USA did without the distribution of the nuclear scientist of Pakistan A.Q. Khan, which is to have supplied Iran, Libya and North Korea with material to the nuclear technology.

"Iraq only one stage"

Hersh quoted also another " "high-ranking secret service informant", who had said that the Iraq is only one stage in the war against the terrorism. "The Bush government regards this as a large military zone. Next we will have an Iran war." Bush agreed expressly the secret use of US commands in ten countries. The operations were implemented particularly by the Pentagon, the secret service CIA lose at meaning. Secretaries of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and his vice Paul Wolfowitz believed that it concerns the aura of the invincibility of the Mullahs" into Iran - like in former times in the communist dictatorships in the Eastern Bloc - to shake ". Then the regime in Teheran will break down.

it will never stop. im convinced we americans and america in general need a royal ass kicking, and to be kicked down a couple notches on the world level. being number 1 has to end, because we as helpless americans who never have a say, are getting the blame, and its not right for them and its not right that we should be in the middle of it.

THe US functions on a war-based economy and has since WWII. We WILL be going into Iran. It's lame and it sucks and we have no right to do it, but the machine needs feeding and the neo-cons are at the helm, so in we go.

Iran will not be a big problem to the U.S. Sure we will have casulaties but after the last election apparently people are willing to trust Bush enough to send over poor white boys and minorities. Funding another war is also a great opportunity for Republicans to cut more social programs.

The real war, if any, would be against China. Mililtary deployment has been boosted big time in the pacific region in the last couple years. But we're doing things to get China to stand-down like telling Taiwan to back off with the anti-China rhetoric.

i think ya'll need to research this story a bit further
bush has always claimed that iran was going to be a focus in the war on terrorism, but diplomacy, not force, was going to be used to check irans nuclear program. since it appears that diplomacy really isn't going to far with iran then a military option has to be weighed.

1. iran has a policy of supporting terrorist with funds and weapons that goes back to the early 80s.
2. iran tried to play the UN last year when it said it was backing off its weaponization program. since then several more "secret" nuclear sites have been discovered and confirmed. when confroned with this evidence iran basically gave the UN a big "so what".

i don't think that the UN, the US, and the rest of the world have a problem with iran developing a nuclear energy program, and i don't think the problem is with iran developing nuclear weapons. i think the
problem really lies with who is going to have access to the weapons. given that iran quitely declared war on the US back in the 80s (remember bombings of the french/US peacekeeping barracks in beirut, the airport shootings in italy, various bombings and hijackings thoughout europe) it only makes sense that the US (i'm sure that the US isn't alone in this since the UN is making a bigger deal out of this than the US) would prepare for the possibility of some kind of strike to take out the nuclear sites.
i think that the new yorker printed this story as a way of gaining attention because the military is doing what it does, prepare for the possiblity of war.
in my opinion the story is a load of bullshit.
if the military card is played i don't think it going to be with troops, the objective is to destroy irans nuclear capability, not take over the country. missles could do that job.

china, japan, and south korea are dealing with north korea.
i think the US wants to distance itself from that mess as much as possible. part of the restructuring to the US military includes redeploying parts of the 2nd infantry (the main unit in korea) to other parts of the pacific, including bringing them back to the states.

Nah, folks, the US already dealt with NK. Don't you remember all that shit talking going on then some "horrible freak accident" involving two trains that took out most of NK nuclear scientists and senior technicians? Don't you remember how Pyongyang went all kinds of quiet after that? No more shit talking? Just an "accident", right?

Nice strategy from Mr. Bush to distract from the mess in Iraq. Although his statements are very stupid. How can he still believe the world will be more secure, when he attacks Iran next (again without any UN-mandate)? The people in Iran won't like it and Terrorists will again have another battleground. Perhaps this is the real strategy from Bush - focus the terrorist attacks on other countries (he didn't like) away from America. Geez.. this guy behaves like a bull in a china shop...
