Asr 10

Hi everybody,
I'm gonna buy an ASR 10.I'm into doing some kind of hip hop stuffs...
What do you think of this machine?

1. try to get the rack. although the keyboard has a nice kb it's known to break more often.

2. check your machine. ensoniq used to build great samplers but they aren't as reliable as others.

3. but if you get your hands on a good one - it's great!the build in effects rock (it's a dp2) and the machine itself has kind of punch that akai and emu users dream of. a friend of mine uses the precessor (eps16) to do the complete programmin stuff for hip hop. and you won't need more than 16mb, do you?

try to get the waveboy-effects for it. without them: no resonance.

moreover you should have a look for an asr-x, this one has resonant filters. and from time to time you can find one that's even cheaper than the asr-10. in my opinion it's the perfect mixture of a sampler and a synth.
