server hosting for musick and mixes

hello

i have uped the package that i use for www.hermetech.net to 20 GIG of web-space and a unlimited bandwidth.

i have always wanted to host some sort of "mix" thing, so people can listen to "stuff"

would people be interested in using some of the space to bung up mixes and things.

if so then let me know, and i will consider it even more. - if the response is right.

ofcourse i cant really over see everything, or do anything fancy, or anything. but am willing to make a portion of it "public" or at least available to people to use, as long as it isnt miss-used or abused or anything that would effect other things that run on the server.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I rekon you should limit it to one mix per user though.

Sounds cool, do you really have unlimited bandwidth? (or is there an excessive use clause).

Who are you hosted with, I currently have 5gig of space and 50gig of monthly bandwidth, which I'm hardly using.

Yes, sounds good. I’ve been looking for somewhere to put up some of my music. And after all the searching i’ve done, i’ve found nowhere decent at all. Something like this would be cool.

so it would seem grobs.

at the moment pathmusick.hermetech.net is getting between 20-30 gig bandwidth usage.
so had to up it as i had a 20 gig limit before.

I can build you an upload interface if you like? So people can create accounts and upload within a prescribed limit per user - only a few hours work.

I'll PM you to see if we can sort it out. Just realised there may be a problem getting around the maximum file upload size for PHP - I've never got it over 15meg before... I think FTP is the only way for mix sets, but can probably work out a way of doing this IF your host allows unlimited users as well?

I'll PM you.
